Weather

Weather in late June is typically dry, with lots of sun. Temperatures around South County Airport range from 52 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit in June. Cooler temperatures are found on the coast, and temperatures are warmer in the San Joaquin Valley and Sierra foothills.

Rainfall in the San Martin area averages 0.12" in June, dropping off to 0.05" in July. Occasional low-lying stratus can spill into the valley from the coastline in the late evening and early morning hours, but it usually burns off by mid- to late-morning.

Because of the varying temperatures between daytime and nighttime, layered clothes are recommended. Be sure to bring a sweater for the cool nights.
