Reid-Hillview Airport (RHV), 18 nm north of South County Airport, as well as Palo Alto Airport (PAO), 34 nm northwest, has numerous flight schools and flying clubs that offer a wide variety of rental aircraft. However, both are towered from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm (9:00 pm at PAO) daily. Some of the volunteers supporting the IDPA fly-in who are radio-qualified pilots, as well as several CFIs, will be happy to assist you with flying to towered airports.

Keep in mind that all aircraft rentals will require a checkout with a CFI, as well as proof of license and a current medical certificate.
